Back At It

I took a week off from pottery. Just kinda had to. Between the gallery show and the mad rush to get ready for the craft fair, I hadn’t really had a break in aaaaages, and was starting to feel a wee bit burnt around the edges.

So I took a week off from it. I watched some movies[1]. I hung out with friends. I read up on medieval sexuality and Pratchett and the news. I watched my Christmas cactus bloom. I painted the kitchen yellow, and started painting the living room.

But today is a changing day. The snow is back on the ground, and I’ll be back at my wheel. Back into old rythms.

[1] Is it just me, or was Thor a) a really pretty movie, but b) slightly lacking in plot?[2]

[2] That said, I did very much like Heimdall’s little negotiation of the idea of defying the king without technically committing treason.
